Cheers to changing perspective, to a collegial & excited rope team, & to the endurance & beauty of this moment. I applied to be a part of the UW Climbing Club Mountaineering series my sophomore year. Each spring weekend we spent post holing up Cascade valleys and mountains, and it gave me so much. A way of communicating with silence. The quiet, both in the environment and your mind, while going up a completely blanketed slope, it's a reverence for yourself, your team, and this beautiful world. I'm so grateful for this exposure, a lifetime gift of communication.
